Finding Ourselves on the Trails: A Night with HOKA & UNNA
This past Friday, we gathered in the forests of North Vancouver for a special evening run in collaboration with HOKA and Stockholm-based running brand UNNA. Together, we celebrated the launch of the new Speedgoat 2 UNNA , a trail running shoe that blends performance and design in a way that feels both fresh and timeless.
UNNA, with its roots in minimalist Scandinavian design, believes that running is more than just movement; it is an ongoing journey of growth, transformation, and connection. Founded on the idea that running is equal parts physical and emotional, UNNA reimagines what a modern running brand can be: quietly confident, culturally aware, and community led. The collaboration with HOKA reflects this ethos perfectly, paying homage to the art of trail running and free play.
The Speedgoat 2 UNNA embodies that spirit: a reliable trail companion with a wide toe box, plush cushioning, and the kind of comfort that invites exploration. More than a shoe, it is an invitation to step into the wild and embrace the process of metamorphosis, emerging on the other side in a Good Place.
To honour this launch, we set out on a 7km trail run with over 300m of climbing, scrambling, jumping, and laughing our way through the North Shore terrain. Along the way, we were reminded of how running can be an avenue for change, evolution, and community.
Back at the trailhead, runners were welcomed with music, cold beer, and fresh pizza. HOKA brought a full demo fleet of two of their most popular trail shoes, the Mafate and the Tecton X 2 TS , giving everyone the chance to test them in their natural environment. We also raffled off a couple of pairs of the new Speedgoat 2 UNNA alongside pieces from our .RUN apparel collection.
The evening was full of joy, learning, and connection, proof that when community comes together around movement, good things happen.
