About Bandit Running
Tim West started Bandit in October 2020 from his Brooklyn basement apartment. The first product was a pair of cushioned running socks. In 2021 his brother Nick joined as CEO and Ardith Singh joined as co-founder, and she now leads design as Chief Design Officer. Bandit has since grown into a full head-to-toe running apparel brand. The name honours Bobbi Gibb, who ran the 1966 Boston Marathon without a bib, before women were allowed to enter.
Bandit builds product with runners. New pieces are wear-tested before release, and the brand holds community feedback nights four times a year. That approach has won awards: the Stamina™ Nova Crop, the first running top with fuel pockets, was named one of TIME's Best Inventions of 2024. The Superbeam™ Half Tights won Runner's World Gear of the Year, and the Micromesh™ Long Sleeve won Best Long Sleeve at the GQ Fitness Awards.
