Women's Cloud X 4

On was founded in 2010 in Zurich by Olivier Bernhard — a former Ironman and duathlon world champion — together with David Allemann and Caspar Coppetti. Bernhard had prototyped the first CloudTec sole by gluing cut sections of garden hose to the bottom of a running shoe; the hollow rubber pods compressed on landing and locked firm for push-off, and the idea scaled. The brand still runs its R&D out of Zurich and has been listed on the NYSE since September 2021.

The Cloud X line is On's cross-training workhorse — cushioned enough to run on, stable enough for gym work, structured enough for lateral movement. The Cloud X 4 brings a higher platform and more Helion than its predecessors; the Cloud X 5 (catalogued in Enroute as a women's SKU) continues the same idea with refined CloudTec tuning.
