The Cloudboom Max is positioned as a super-trainer — enough Helion HF and rocker for race-pace work, without the carbon plate and without the Cloudboom Strike's price. Critically, the Speedboard is glass-fibre-reinforced nylon, not carbon, so it reads snappy rather than rigid. On positions it for runners aiming to finish a marathon well rather than chase a PB, and reviewers back that framing. The Cloudboom Max is a super-trainer, not a carbon racer, Speedboard is 8% glass-fibre-infused nylon, paired with a double layer of Helion HF (soft PEBA top, denser TPEE base).
