On was founded in 2010 in Zurich by Olivier Bernhard — a former Ironman and duathlon world champion, together with David Allemann and Caspar Coppetti. The Cloudboom Strike is On's full-tilt marathon racer, double layer of Helion HF super-foam, true carbon Speedboard with a spoon-shaped forefoot curve, and the LightSpray upper that made this shoe news.
