Peak Performance was founded in 1986 in Åre, Sweden by three ski racers — Stefan Engström, Peter Blom and Christer Mårtensson — who believed ski kit should be both technically honest and genuinely good looking. From a single shop in a mountain town at the 63rd parallel, the brand grew into Scandinavia's most recognisable mountainwear name. HQ moved to Stockholm in 1999; Amer Sports acquired the brand in 2018 (alongside Arc'teryx, Salomon, Atomic), and the line is led by President Stefano Saccone from April 2025. The Åre maxim still holds: if it can handle Åre, it can handle anything.

Heavy Pile — 445 gsm soft sherpa pile, bonded with a jersey backer so it holds its shape and blocks wind better than it should. The Graphic versions take the construction into bolder logo-era and topo prints; the Oversized Cardigan adds a relaxed silhouette with a 2-way zipper. Partially recycled, made without intentionally added PFAS. More town than trail, but built in the Peak Performance mountain idiom — robust, honest, designed for years.
